free tools for stock trading and options trading -- the best free tools for stock market investing welcome to looking at the markets withdavid moadel today i'd like to share with you some of my favorite free onlinetools for stock and options investors and traders yeah i understand that not everybody hasa lot of money to spend on trading tools
aapl stock, and research tools and charting toolsthings like that and so i found some that are free at least today they'refree as of august 8 2016 these are free of charge to use some ofthese sites might also have a prepaid plan as well as a free plan
so i'm going to show you what'savailable for free and it's up to you if you'd like to use the free plan or theprint or the the pay plan for these also i cannot vouch for the accuracy of theinformation from these websites i cannot guarantee that these thesetools are accurate as far as the information goes so please do your own research to yourown due diligence alright so on to the free tools myfavorite one by far good old stock charts . com and be able to see all of the websiteaddresses here on the address bar
yeah i like this one a lot and it it has ofcourse stock charts as you might expect but you can get pretty fancy now they they have a guest in aid it says start your free 10-day trial so i guess they're trying to get you tojoin some sort of paid charting you know membership type of thing but so far i'vejust used the free ones and they're more than enough for me i don't like to clutter my screen withtoo many indicators anyway i like to
keep it simple and uncluttered but yet ilike day averages and it you know stockcharts.com allows forthose i like to use the bollinger bands stockcharts.com has that i use the rsi ait's on there if you want it you can put all kinds of cool stuff on there you've got yeah you got your keltnerchannels your stochastics macd all that good stuff and then tons more and i'm not recommending that you useall of them at once but whatever your preference is it'sprobably going to be on here so that's the first one that i like a lot
so you might hired starting purposes atand and you're probably has its own charting a poor software and that's cooltoo another great charting tool that's freeand online is trading view dot com trading you trading view dot com and that's got you know all kinds ofcool charting options and and choices you can make a watch list like i've donehere and then i'll show you an example of an actual chart here it is the the most closed right now it's afterhours but if if you put up a chart during the trading day you can actuallysee the candles being formed and which
is pretty cool so yeah i like this one alot you can use this in addition to stockcharts . com or as an alternative to that all right now what if you're looking fora stock screener i i don't necessarily recommend stockscreeners for all situations and for all traders and investors but if you like touse them thin biz if i n viz . com and i guess that stands for financialvisualizations in biz and this is a comprehensive what site it has a stockscreener you would click on screener
but before we look at that it has a heatmap where is you can see what you know what's green and what's red like herethe utilities are not doing doing too well on this particular trading day just about everything else is doing wellas you can see i got the top lose others and top gainers of the day unusualvolume new high overbought oversold most volatile most active and so much more and you can also check out the futuresthe s&p 500 futures right now are slightly green or just about flateverything's slightly up but not much alright so let's take a look at thescreener and see what that's all about
you would just click on screener on finnfinn viz . com it's got all kinds of different ways youcan narrow it down right now it's showing just about everything loop wrap up there that's to be expected all right then you can filter by factorshere target price did it it you can search for a particularsector you've got fundamental factors from peratio to return on equity or insider transactions institutional ownershipearnings per share so on and so forth
technical factors all kinds take a lookat some of the technical factors you can scream for ya whether it's you know how it compares tothe 50-day moving average below 0 percentage above 200 day moving averagevolatility how it compares to the rsi 14 52-week highs and lows lot of peoplelike to look for that average to true range beta so on and so forth so it's a pretty pretty robust stockscreener again i cannot vouch for the accuracy of any of these websites butfor pretty impressive considering that it's it's free right now so that'sfinviz all right and you've got another
screener on zacks.com za cks before youlook at that we can look at the some of the other tools that sachs has i like this one upgrades and downgradesyou can look at those ahlan chart there ok but it also it as a tellsyou earnings releases and educational stuffbut it has a trainers as well you can check those out for free atleast right now they're free and all kinds of different screeners valuegrowth momentum so on and so forth and finally morning star dot com morning star just website with all kindsof free stuff on it it's got its got a
column with the news items and you canlook at the overall market but if you if you go down a little bit you can see ithas a current upcoming earnings and data releases ok it's got its got the gainers topgainers top losers that kind of thing which stocks are the most active yougoing a little go down a little bit more yep stock screener ok your basic in yourpremium i don't know but i'm guessing theyprobably might want you to pay for the premium one mutual fund screeners stockscreeners stock calculators state or rather savings calculator is bondcalculators all kinds of cool stuff here
so that's morning star and those are a few of my yeah tools that are to use all right sothere's really no excuse there's no reason not to do your due diligence notto do your research when there are all these tools and morei mean that's the those are just my favorite ones if you look on google or your favoritesearch engine you can find more free stock tools and screeners but you know beware be careful you knowsome things are free for a reason maybe
